Classroom Expectations
The students of LeMay are held to very high expectations. We follow the Boystown Social Skills model to help guide students' behavior. Students are graded on these skills each quarter and results are printed on the report card. Below is a list of the main Boystown skills. When students enter the classroom, I expect that they come ready to learn. It is very important for students to listen and pay attention throughout the day so they do not miss pertinent pieces of information.
Second grade is an important year. Students are expected to read material more independently, complete assignments on their own, be responsible for homework and make "good choices" during down time in the classroom. Keeping up with classwork, practicing spelling words & basic math facts, and reading at home & school will help students be successful.
